GoDaddy embraces advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), including machine learning, agentic AI, and generative AI, to better support entrepreneurs worldwide. Our commitment is to use AI ethically and responsibly, helping business owners succeed while adding real value to their operations.
We focus on using AI to inspire creativity, save time, and help entrepreneurs grow their businesses. Thoughtful application of AI empowers both our customers and employees to adapt and thrive in a changing environment.
Integrating AI
Responsible AI means applying these technologies safely, transparently, and ethically. We tackle challenges such as algorithmic bias and misinformation head-on while exploring new business opportunities. Controls are in place throughout AI’s design, development, and deployment to ensure alignment with GoDaddy’s core values.
Our approach includes identifying inaccurate or sensitive information and updating practices regularly to comply with our Code of Business Conduct and Ethics. We actively minimize bias and maximize accuracy to build trust.
Innovation and collaboration define our culture. Technical AI training and workshops help employees stay ahead, fostering new ideas and solutions. Our AI and ML Governance Council oversees risk management, especially around generative AI concerns.
We carefully vet partnerships through a thorough assessment process involving Legal, IT, and Risk teams. This ensures data privacy, regulatory compliance, and reliable performance remain top priorities.
AI for GoDaddy's Employees
Internally, AI improves efficiency and productivity. For example, our AI coding assistant launched in 2023 helps developers write code faster by suggesting functions and identifying bugs, allowing them to focus on refinement and innovation.
Our internal tool, GoDaddy Content as a Service, offers employees access to various AI models for tasks like coding and privacy adjustments. Specialized assistants within the tool support specific workflows, enhancing productivity across technical and non-technical teams.
We invest in AI literacy through regular newsletters and training sessions, ensuring all employees have the skills and resources to utilize AI effectively.
AI for GoDaddy's Customers
AI integration improves customer experience by optimizing support routing and response accuracy. Our proprietary Large Language Model (LLM) powers natural language processing to streamline interactions, while GoDaddy Guides remain available for personalized assistance.
Guides use the Guide Assist Bot Interface, which accesses extensive help articles to better serve customers. Additionally, we offer a free AI Prompt Library with customizable prompts to help customers boost their business efforts.
Customers registering domains receive GoDaddy Airo®, an AI tool that simplifies leveraging AI to start or grow their business online.
AI Education with Empower by GoDaddy
In September 2024, GoDaddy hosted an AI for Small Business Summit to provide entrepreneurs with practical AI integration strategies. This event supports our mission to equip entrepreneurs with essential knowledge and tools, fostering community and networking.
Empower by GoDaddy expanded AI education through a GenAI course and an on-demand webinar, enabling participants to learn at their own pace. The course received high praise, with 96% of participants recommending it.
About This Report
This report outlines GoDaddy’s progress on sustainability goals and initiatives throughout 2024.
