Google Ads Introduces Agentic AI Tools and Marketing Advisor for Smarter Campaign Optimization
Google Ads introduces AI-powered agentic features to simplify campaign management and boost performance. Marketing Advisor, an AI assistant in Chrome, offers personalized guidance for advertisers.

Google Ads Boost Campaign Performance with New Agentic Capabilities
At the recent I/O event, Google announced updates that bring smarter, more autonomous, and personalized AI features to Google Ads. These innovations aim to help marketers manage growing demands—from sifting through data to creating engaging content—while optimizing campaigns effectively.
With consumers constantly searching, scrolling, streaming, and shopping, reaching the right audience is more critical than ever. The new agentic capabilities are designed to enhance campaign results while cutting down the manual work needed for campaign setup and management.
Agentic Features in Google Ads and Google Analytics
Since launching the conversational experience in Google Ads two years ago, over 500,000 advertisers have leveraged it to improve Search campaigns. Building on this, Google will soon expand these agentic tools across Google Ads and Google Analytics to support marketers throughout onboarding, campaign creation, reporting, and troubleshooting.
These AI-powered assistants learn from diverse inputs like large datasets, landing pages, creative assets, and real-time campaign data. In Google Ads, the agentic expert offers personalized advice—suggesting keywords, creative ideas, and even creating multiple focused ad groups with specific assets to improve relevance and performance.
Within Google Analytics, the AI-driven data expert actively highlights insights and trends while offering simple, visual data exploration tools. This makes it easier for marketers to make informed decisions and quickly resolve campaign issues.
Meet Marketing Advisor: Your New AI Assistant in Chrome
Google is also introducing Marketing Advisor, an AI agent integrated directly into the Chrome browser. After signing in with a Google account, marketers gain access to personalized guidance tailored to their Google Ads goals.
Marketing Advisor appears as a sidebar on relevant web pages, providing clear, step-by-step instructions. Beyond answering questions, it proactively runs assessments and recommends strategies across multiple business areas. For example, it can suggest seasonal product trends or manage complex tasks like tag installation across various websites.
This tool works seamlessly across Google Ads, Google Analytics, the Help Center, and content management systems, helping marketers troubleshoot campaign issues and spot new growth opportunities. Marketing Advisor will start rolling out later this year.
