Google Cloud Commits $750 Million to Partner AI Development Fund

Google Cloud announced a $750 million fund on Tuesday to help its 120,000-member partner ecosystem build and deploy generative AI and LLM-based agents for enterprise customers. The money will support consulting firms, systems integrators, software partners, and channel resellers in assessing AI opportunities, prototyping solutions, and scaling deployments.

The fund addresses a practical problem: most organizations know AI exists but struggle to move past pilots. Partners need both technical resources and financial incentives to help customers identify where agents can actually reduce costs or improve operations.

What the Money Covers

The fund supports several specific activities:

  • AI value assessments and proofs-of-concept for Gemini models
  • AI agents and automation prototyping and deployment
  • Security assessments through Wiz
  • Team upskilling on Google's AI tools
  • Usage credits to reduce adoption costs

Google will also embed forward-deployed engineers (FDEs) alongside major consulting firms including Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Deloitte, HCLTech, PwC, and TCS. These engineers work directly on customer projects to solve technical problems and accelerate deployments.

New Gemini Enterprise Practices

Nine AI-native service firms-Altimetrik, Artefact, Covasant, Deepsense, Distyl.ai, Northslope, Quantium, Tribe.ai, and Tryolabs-will launch dedicated Gemini Enterprise practices. Google will provide sandbox development credits, technical training, and customer referrals to help these smaller firms scale.

Partners like Accenture, BCG, Deloitte, and McKinsey will get early access to new Gemini models to test and provide feedback before general release.

Enterprise-Ready Agents Now Available

Google's Gemini Enterprise platform now includes pre-built agents from 12 vendors: Adobe, Atlassian, Deloitte, Lovable, Oracle, Palo Alto Networks, Replit, S&P Global, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Workday, and others. Customers can discover and deploy these agents directly within Gemini Enterprise, with governance and security controls built in.

Deloitte said it has built more than 1,000 pre-built agents that clients can customize for their specific workflows. The firm's CIO noted that agents have helped streamline internal processes and freed teams for higher-value work.

The Partner Ecosystem Today

Google Cloud's partner ecosystem already includes 330,000 experts trained on implementing Google AI. Ninety-five percent of the top 20 SaaS companies and over 80 percent of the top 100 SaaS companies use Gemini models.

Kevin Ichhpurani, president of Google Cloud's Global Partner Ecosystem, said the fund reflects the company's strategy to distribute AI technology through partners rather than selling directly to every enterprise.
