DDB Singapore, Google Indonesia, Superson, and Hagia Labs turned static OOH into living scenes as part of the Google Gemini #BikinGebrakanLo campaign. The team blended real architectural backdrops with AI-generated video so the billboard appears transparent-like the content is breaking out from the buildings behind it.

Think bubble tea waves rolling down facades, dinosaurs crossing intersections, portals opening on the sidewalk, and even ondel-ondel doing aerobics in Senayan. It's bold, site-specific, and built for social-first attention without feeling like a gimmick.

What's actually new here

The creative teams captured each billboard's real surroundings, then stitched AI video to match angles, lighting, and textures. The result feels native to the street-an illusion that the billboard is a window into the scene behind it.

Antti Toivonen, MD for Superson APAC, noted that this format wouldn't be feasible without recent AI advances, and credited the sprint-based collaboration with DDB, Google, and Hagia for getting the OOH component out fast.

Hybrid team, sprint build

This wasn't a single-agency effort. Superson ran its "Supersprint" model, assembling a custom team across DDB Singapore (creative), Google (tech), Hagia Labs (technical execution), and Indonesian creators, including students and local artists. Agile pods, clear swim lanes, and rapid iteration-built for reality, not decks.

Mira Sumanti, Southeast Asia brand and creative lead at Google, highlighted how working with specialists across partners helped the team push VEO3 and still stay rooted in local culture.

All assets were generated with Google's Veo 3 and Nano Banana AI technology, then deployed across high-impact sites. At City Plaza, a 30x20m dynamic digital display selects pre-generated content based on real-time weather data for contextual relevance throughout the day.

Billboards are live across Jakarta, Surabaya, and Bandung. Each site's content is matched to local architecture and culture, including:

Vinod Savio, chief creative officer at DDB Singapore, said the "see-through" build validates the bigger #BikinGebrakanLo concept-big vision converted into a world-first technical execution at speed.

Sedat Boynuegri, founder at Hagia Labs, shared that AI lifted both speed and quality, and that real-time social listening fed directly into design choices. His take: the workflow was the bigger win.
