Google Finance adds AI features for research, earnings and more
The new Google Finance takes a clear step forward for analysts and portfolio teams. You can ask market questions and get useful AI responses, run technical analysis with advanced charts, and track headlines in real time. Now it adds Deep Search, prediction markets data, and a stronger earnings experience - plus an initial expansion to India.
Deep Search for tougher questions
When a quick answer isn't enough, Deep Search delivers a fuller, cited response. Ask your question, choose Deep Search, and Gemini models will fan out across the web, run hundreds of queries, and synthesize findings - with sources and a visible research plan as it builds.
- See the research plan as it works, so you know how the answer was formed.
- Ask follow-ups, or jump into the linked sources for detail.
- Rolling out over the coming weeks; higher limits for Google AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers.
- For early access, opt in via the Google Finance experiment in Labs.
Prediction markets: crowd expectations, quantified
Google Finance now surfaces prediction markets data, so you can reference crowd-implied probabilities for events that move assets. Ask "What will GDP growth be for 2025?" and see current odds plus how they've shifted over time.
- Useful for scenario planning, priors, and quick sanity checks on consensus odds.
- Rolling out first to Labs users over the coming weeks.
Don't miss a beat during earnings season
A new earnings workflow keeps your prep tight and your recap faster. Start with the "Upcoming earnings" calendar or open a ticker from your watchlist. During the call, listen live and follow a real-time transcript you can reference after.
- At a glance: AI-driven insights before, during, and after the call across news flow and analyst reactions.
- Context in one view: Compare latest results to history, check performance vs. expectations, see related earnings and prior reports.
- Source docs: Quick access to filings and key materials.
Rollout and access
The latest capabilities (Deep Search, prediction markets, and the earnings experience) are rolling out first in the U.S. Google Finance is also starting to roll out in India with support for English and Hindi.
To try it on mobile or desktop, go to google.com/finance/beta and sign in to your Google account.
How finance teams can put this to work today
- Equity research: Use Deep Search to build a cited brief on a sector driver, then drill into source links for your model notes.
- PMs and strategists: Pull crowd-implied probabilities for macro events to stress-test base cases and adjust risk weightings.
- IR and FP&A: Monitor live transcripts, capture quotes in real time, and stack results against history and guidance in one place.
- Desk workflow: Add relevant tickers to your watchlist and keep the earnings tab open during peak weeks for fast post-call summaries.
