Google Finance Adds Deep Search, Prediction Markets, and Earnings Tracking

Google Finance is moving beyond ticker lookups. New features include AI-driven Deep Search for multi-step research, integrated prediction markets data from Kalshi and Polymarket, and live earnings tracking with audio, transcripts, and AI summaries.

Rollout starts with Labs users over the coming weeks. Higher usage limits are available for Google AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers.

Deep Search: Faster, Cited Financial Research

Deep Search lets you ask complex questions, then runs up to hundreds of simultaneous searches to build a fully cited response. You'll see a research plan as it works, followed by a synthesized answer pulled from multiple sources.

As Google's Robert Dunnette put it, the system "issues up to hundreds of simultaneous searches and reasons across disparate pieces of information to produce a fully cited, comprehensive response in just a few minutes." It's accessible through the Google Finance experiment in Labs, with higher limits for paid AI tiers.

Prediction Markets: Crowdsourced Probabilities for Macro and Events

Google Finance is surfacing prediction market data from Kalshi and Polymarket. You can query future events directly (e.g., "What will GDP growth be for 2025?") and view current odds plus historical trends.

For macro desks and risk teams, this adds another lens alongside surveys and sell-side models. Treat the probabilities as one input-useful for scenario weighting, not a signal by itself.

Enhanced Earnings Tracking: Live Audio, Transcripts, and AI Insights

A new Earnings tab centralizes reporting season. During a call, you can stream live audio, see real-time transcripts, and review AI-generated highlights under "At a glance."

Post-call, compare results versus expectations and history, and access filings and earnings docs. The goal is simple: fewer tabs, quicker context, cleaner notes.

India Launch

Google Finance begins rolling out in India this week with support for English and Hindi. The initial release brings the core experience, while Deep Search, prediction markets, and the new earnings features start in the U.S. and expand internationally over time.

Practical Uses for Finance Teams

  • Macro research: Use Deep Search to assemble a cited view across rate paths, inflation drivers, and sector impacts in minutes.
  • Scenario analysis: Pull prediction market probabilities to weight base/bull/bear cases for GDP, CPI, or policy outcomes.
  • Earnings prep: Before the call, get "At a glance" summaries; during the call, stream audio and capture key quotes live.
  • Post-call review: Compare results versus expectations and historical comps; attach transcripts and filings to your notes.
  • Portfolio monitoring: Set a workflow that checks prediction markets ahead of catalyst dates and refreshes positions' risk notes.

Availability and How to Access

Features roll out over the coming weeks, starting with Labs users. Google AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers get higher Deep Search limits.

Why This Matters

Deep Search compresses the manual work of pulling reports, reading filings, and stitching sources. Prediction markets add a live, crowd-based view of event odds that complements analyst models.

During earnings, having audio, transcripts, and key takeaways in one place reduces context switching and speeds decision-making.
