Healthcare Outcomes Performance Company (HOPCo), a leader in musculoskeletal (MSK) outcomes management and value-based care, has acquired Caro Health, an AI-driven digital health firm based in Amsterdam. This move strengthens HOPCo’s global digital health platform and expands its presence in Europe.

Caro Health, founded in 2019, specializes in conversational AI that transforms patient and provider interactions by consolidating diverse data sources for better clinical decisions. Their AI platform enables personalized communication at scale, supporting specialties like orthopedics and other MSK areas. Currently, Caro serves nearly 40 healthcare customers across the Netherlands and Belgium.

Strategic Benefits and Leadership Roles

Thomas Goijarts, Co-founder and CEO of Caro Health, emphasized that joining HOPCo accelerates technology development and broadens their reach globally. He will take on the role of Head of Products for HOPCo Digital. Guusje van der Heijden, Caro’s co-founder, will lead customer success and delivery in Europe, ensuring seamless integration for clients on both sides.

HOPCo plans to expand its European office and strengthen collaborations with existing clients, leveraging Caro’s technology to enhance products such as HOPCo Vitals®, myrecovery by HOPCo®, and their cloud-based infrastructure across practices and health systems.
