Humans Are Starting to Talk More Like ChatGPT, Study Claims

Next, they analyzed the frequency of these GPT words in over 360,000 YouTube videos and 771,000 podcast episodes from before and after ChatGPT’s release. The results showed a noticeable increase in the use of GPT words in spoken English.
This suggests a feedback loop where AI language patterns influence human speech. As Levin Brinkmann, one of the study’s co-authors, explained, people tend to imitate language from sources they see as knowledgeable or important—including AI.
