Agilisium, a leading autonomous Agentic AI partner in the life sciences sector, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Chennai’s Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (SRIHER). Together, they will establish India’s first Agentic AI-Powered Digital Health & Research Centre.

This Centre is set to accelerate scientific research, healthcare delivery, and academic excellence using AI and Generative AI (GenAI). It will focus on advancing precision medicine, digital diagnostics, and data-driven clinical research. By integrating Agilisium’s AI-driven expertise with SRIHER’s clinical and academic strengths, the Centre plans to develop next-gen diagnostic tools, intelligent decision-support systems, and interoperable health data frameworks, positioning India as a leader in digital healthcare innovation.

Combining Clinical Expertise with AI Innovation

The partnership brings together Agilisium’s skills in advanced analytics, data science, biostatistics, GenAI, and autonomous Agentic AI with SRIHER’s access to extensive clinical datasets, domain experts, and advanced medical facilities. This collaboration will tackle pressing healthcare challenges by creating AI solutions that improve diagnostics and patient care.

Key focus areas include co-developing and publishing high-impact research on AI-powered clinical trials, predictive diagnostics, and personalized medicine. These efforts are expected to raise the standard for healthcare research and development across India.

AI Tools to Support Clinicians, Patients, and Caregivers

The Centre will develop AI-powered chatbots and GenAI-enabled virtual assistants to assist clinicians, patients, and caregivers. These tools will offer real-time diagnostic support, automate clinical documentation, and enable remote patient monitoring. Pilot programs will take place within SRIHER’s hospital environment to assess clinical impact and user experience.

Academic Program on Generative AI in Healthcare

The MoU includes the launch of an industry-first academic certification program focused on Generative AI applications in healthcare. Jointly created by Agilisium and SRIHER, the course will cover areas such as drug discovery, diagnostics, predictive modeling, and patient care. Agilisium will provide practical technology insights, while SRIHER will ensure clinical relevance and academic rigor.

This program targets building a skilled workforce ready to lead AI advancements in healthcare.

Future Collaborations and Community Engagement

The partnership also plans to organize joint workshops, seminars, conferences, and CSR-driven research funding. These activities will support healthcare innovations that address social needs and help create scalable, intelligent patient care solutions.

For healthcare professionals interested in AI and digital health, staying updated with these developments is critical. Exploring relevant courses on AI in healthcare can help build the necessary skills to engage with such emerging technologies.
