Insight Health Raises $11M to Expand Clinical AI Agents for Healthcare Administrative Tasks

Insight Health, a New York-based startup founded in 2023, raised $11 million in Series A funding led by Standard Capital to expand its AI for Healthcare platform. The company focuses on reducing administrative burden through AI Agents & Automation that handle both clinical and operational workflows.

The funding round included participation from Pear VC, Kindred Ventures, Eudemian, ElevenLabs, and 43.

What the Platform Does

Insight Health's main product, Lumi, is a patient-facing assistant that engages patients before appointments via text or email. It conducts AI-driven interviews and generates structured medical histories that feed directly into electronic health records.

The system also handles follow-ups, symptom monitoring, medication adherence tracking, and preventive care outreach. The startup reports it has facilitated more than 3 million autonomous patient interactions to date.

The Problem It Addresses

U.S. healthcare systems spend over $1 trillion annually on administrative overhead, according to industry estimates. Physicians spend nearly one-third of their time on non-clinical tasks rather than patient care.

High staff turnover and rising patient demand have intensified burnout and created gaps in access to care.

Early Results

Healthcare organizations using Insight Health's platform-including The Oregon Clinic, Pacific Sports & Spine, Coastal Health, and Santiam Hospital-report collective annual savings of over $50 million in administrative costs while reducing manual workload for clinical staff.

Next Steps

The company plans to use the funding to accelerate product development and deepen partnerships with healthcare providers. Insight Health has already integrated with athenahealth Marketplace and partnered with pediatric EHR provider Office Practicum.

Jaimal Soni, co-founder and CEO, said: "Healthcare organizations are stuck in the impossible position of meeting rising patient demand amid budget constraints and mounting administrative burdens. The organizations that embrace AI to address these challenges will be the ones that thrive and better serve their patients."
