Instagram Adds AI Voice Effects to Direct Messages
Instagram has rolled out AI Voice Effects in Direct Messages, allowing users to apply creative filters to voice notes. The feature launched in India and is now available to users in DM chat windows.
The tool offers eight preset effects: Chipmunk, Demon, Alien, Robot, Underwater, Stadium, Wobble, and Fishbowl. Users can also send voice notes unaltered with an "Original" option.
How It Works
To use the feature, users open a chat, tap the voice recording button, select AI Voice Effects, and record their message. After recording, they can preview the effect and send it.
Recipients can tap the received voice note and apply effects themselves, turning voice messages into an interactive exchange rather than a one-way communication.
