Ghana consulting firm launches weekly AI governance program for executives

Ishmael Yamson & Associates (IY&A) is running a structured education series for corporate boards and senior leaders making decisions on AI deployment. The program, called Applied AI Advantage, begins April 14 at ALX Ghana in Accra and runs through May 21.

The weekly sessions target board members, chief executives, functional heads, and risk professionals across financial services, consumer industries, energy, government, healthcare, and technology. Each participant receives an AI Decision Packet outlining prioritized use cases, data requirements, governance protocols, and implementation steps.

What the program covers

The six-session curriculum addresses:

  • AI portfolio prioritization and board governance
  • Commercial acceleration through intelligent pricing
  • Operating model automation
  • Supply chain resilience
  • Risk and compliance systems
  • AI-enabled product innovation

A final session converts selected opportunities into a 30-day pilot plan, allowing organizations to move from strategy to controlled deployment.

Scheduling and access

Sessions run on April 14, 16, 21, 23, 28, and 30, followed by May 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, and 21. The program is delivered primarily in person, with livestream access available for regional executives.

Participation is invite-led and capacity-limited. Registration is open at ayatickets.com.

Richard Osei-Anim, Senior Partner and Chief AI Officer at IY&A, said AI conversations are shifting from curiosity to responsibility, with boards now required to make adoption decisions that carry direct implications for productivity, competitiveness, and institutional risk.

For executives focused on strategy and governance, resources on AI for Executives & Strategy provide additional context on organizational decision-making in this space.
