Cryptocurrency Exchange LBank Reports $2B Daily Trading Volume in Q1, Shifts Focus to AI Integration
LBank, a Singapore-based cryptocurrency exchange with 20 million registered users, reported daily trading volumes exceeding $2 billion in its traditional finance segment during the first quarter of 2026. The exchange also announced a significant organizational restructuring centered on embedding artificial intelligence across core operations.
The TradFi segment-which allows users to trade U.S. equities, precious metals, and commodities alongside cryptocurrencies-drove the volume growth. LBank also named Ponke, a Web3 cultural brand, as its official strategic partner during the quarter.
Token Listings and Security Certifications
New token listings on the platform showed outsized returns. The top five newly listed tokens averaged 12,703% returns, while 2.34% of all new listings achieved 100x gains.
LBank obtained ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification for its information security management system and received a "Best CEX for Crypto Futures and Derivatives" award from CoinGape.
Organizational Shift to AI-Native Operations
Beyond quarterly metrics, LBank is restructuring its organization to integrate artificial intelligence into decision-making, risk management, and product design. Eric He, the exchange's Community Angel Officer and Risk Control Adviser, said the company is moving from growth-focused expansion toward efficiency-driven development.
"Intelligence is no longer a support function; it is being embedded into our DNA," He said. "This marks a new frontier of human-AI symbiosis, unlocking exponential efficiency and innovation for the crypto era."
The shift positions LBank as an AI-native platform rather than a traditional trading venue. The company plans to prioritize faster decision-making speed and product iteration as competition intensifies in the sector.
What This Means for Communications Professionals
For PR and communications teams, LBank's organizational overhaul signals a broader industry trend. As crypto platforms adopt AI-driven operations, the messaging around internal transformation-and how it benefits users-becomes central to brand positioning. AI for PR & Communications professionals should understand how to communicate technical infrastructure changes to both investor and user audiences.
The strategic emphasis on AI integration also reflects how executives view competitive advantage. AI for Executives & Strategy shows that operational transformation stories-when told clearly-can differentiate platforms in crowded markets.
