Lenovo Unveils ThinkStation PGX: Compact AI Workstation for Developers

Lenovo introduces the ThinkStation PGX, a compact desktop built specifically for AI developers, researchers, data scientists, and students. This workstation offers a ready-to-use setup that supports immediate AI experimentation and development without the need for complex configuration.

Powered by the NVIDIA GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip, the ThinkStation PGX delivers up to 1 PetaFlop (1000 TOPS) of AI performance. It can handle large generative AI models with up to 200 billion parameters, making it suitable for advanced AI workloads right from the desktop.

High Memory Capacity and Scalable Performance

With 128 GB of unified system memory, the ThinkStation PGX allows developers to experiment, fine-tune, or run inference on the latest reasoning AI models efficiently. For projects requiring even more computing power, two PGX units can be connected to manage AI models up to 405 billion parameters.

Preconfigured AI Software Stack

The workstation comes preloaded with NVIDIA DGX OS and the complete NVIDIA AI software stack. Familiar frameworks like PyTorch and Jupyter are included, enabling developers to prototype, fine-tune, and deploy large AI models seamlessly from desktop to data center or cloud environments.

Optimized for Local AI Development

Generative AI models are growing in size and complexity, often demanding significant GPU memory and processing resources. The ThinkStation PGX offers an economical and powerful platform for AI application prototyping, helping free up capacity in on-premises clusters or cloud environments that are better suited for training and production deployment.

Seamless Integration with Cloud and Data Centers

Thanks to the NVIDIA AI platform software architecture, models developed on the ThinkStation PGX can transition effortlessly to accelerated cloud or data center infrastructures without code changes. This flexibility simplifies iterative development and deployment workflows.

Lenovo’s Commitment to AI-Ready Performance

Lenovo continues to expand its AI-capable workstation lineup, including powerful ThinkStation desktops and mobile ThinkPad P Series options. Through its Hybrid AI Advantage partnership with NVIDIA, Lenovo delivers validated AI solutions that support the development of agentic AI systems capable of reasoning and planning.

  • Supports AI workloads from edge to cloud
