About the NJ AI Hub
The NJ AI Hub is a collaborative effort with four founding partners: Princeton University, the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA), Microsoft, and CoreWeave. The Hub was announced in December 2023 by New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy alongside University President Christopher L. Eisgruber.
Earlier this year, the Hub opened a modern, adaptable space near Princeton’s campus in West Windsor. Since then, it has hosted a summit with over 500 leaders from academia, government, and industry, as well as several smaller meetings, including a statewide education and workforce event.
Leadership Aims and Vision
Tim Sullivan, CEO of NJEDA, noted that the Hub is positioned to establish New Jersey as a leader in the AI industry. He highlighted Krawczyk’s role in advancing Governor Murphy's vision of building on the state’s history of technological innovation. Her expertise is expected to help New Jersey maintain its edge in AI breakthroughs and support long-term economic growth.
Krawczyk expressed enthusiasm about joining a broad public-private partnership that sets a precedent for AI initiatives nationwide. She aims to prepare the workforce for the AI era, foster AI innovation that benefits the public, and promote responsible AI governance and development.
Krawczyk’s Background
Krawczyk’s career focuses on technology, economic development, workforce strategy, and innovation. At the U.S. Department of Commerce, she contributed to creating a $300 million workforce plan supporting the CHIPS Act’s $37 billion semiconductor investment.
