Travel startup Lobby raises $2.2M to automate group bookings across the industry
Lobby, an AI platform that processes group booking emails, has secured $2.2 million in funding from Founderful. The startup processes complex booking requests in 30 seconds-a 75% reduction in response time-and increases conversion rates by up to 15%.
Pascal Mathis, co-founder of GetYourGuide and Founderful, will join Lobby's board. Mathis said the startup's ability to execute workflows across multiple systems sets it apart from surface-level automation tools.
What Lobby's platform does
The platform handles the full lifecycle of a group booking request. It reads emails in over 100 languages, checks availability, validates contracts, generates quotes, and converts accepted offers into reservations in property management systems.
A single request can involve hundreds of rooms across multiple dates, room types, meals, and event spaces. Lobby processes these scenarios in seconds while managing changes and follow-ups until arrival.
Hotels and travel companies can choose full automation or a human-in-the-loop model where staff review quotes before sending. Integration with Gmail, Outlook, and PMS systems takes about four days. Onboarding takes up to two days.
Expansion beyond hotels
The funding allows Lobby to move beyond hospitality into the MICE sector (meetings, incentives, conferences, exhibitions), experiences and attractions, cruises, and airlines.
Romy Abbrederis, CEO and co-founder, said the platform will help customers automate processes previously considered too complex to handle. Group bookings generate higher revenue than individual bookings, making them a priority for travel providers.
Lobby was founded in 2025 by Abbrederis, Alex Mugrauer, and Muhammad Abdullah. The platform combines AI agents with system integrations to handle high-value, multi-step booking workflows.
