AI Workshop at MPI DFW Education Day Targets Meeting Planners

Matt Cretzman, founder of Stormbreaker Digital, will lead two interactive workshops on AI at MPI DFW Education Day 2026 on April 16 at The Statler Hotel in Dallas. The sessions run from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. and 1:15 to 2:00 p.m.

Cretzman's "AI Workshop: Stump the Expert" format lets attendees ask live questions about AI tools, applications, and strategy rather than sit through prepared presentations. Meeting planners and hospitality suppliers make up the expected audience.

What Separates Effective AI Use From Generic Applications

Cretzman argues that competitive advantage in AI comes from feeding the tool domain expertise, not from selecting a particular platform. "The real competitive advantage isn't which tool is used - it's whether the AI knows what the user knows," he said.

Meeting planners and event professionals bring decades of industry knowledge to their work. The question is how to transfer that expertise into ChatGPT, Claude, and other platforms they already use.

About the Event and Speaker

MPI Dallas Fort Worth is the local chapter of Meeting Professionals International, which represents professionals across the meetings and events industry. The 2026 Education Day theme is "Playing on a Global Field: The Blueprint for What's Next."

Cretzman founded nine companies in AI agents, legal technology, education technology, and B2B software. Through Stormbreaker Digital, he builds autonomous AI teams for marketing, sales development, and operations work. He also serves as fractional CMO for companies in manufacturing, healthcare, and technology.

His company, Skill Refinery, converts expert knowledge into AI-ready skill cards that work across AI for Hospitality & Events platforms. The Dallas-based company delivers this content through Claude, ChatGPT, and Microsoft Copilot.
