Firmus AI specializes in preconstruction design review, using AI to analyze 2D PDF drawings for design-related risks. Their cloud-first drawing platform identifies early errors, coordination issues, and scope gaps, helping construction projects stay on schedule and reducing costly rework.

The acquisition aims to embed Firmus’ AI-powered, drawing-first capabilities into Bluebeam’s widely used PDF review and markup workflows. This integration will enable early detection of design risks, cross-discipline coordination challenges, and phase-to-phase drawing comparisons with priority-based issue reporting.
By combining Bluebeam’s trusted global platform with Firmus’ AI technology tailored for preconstruction workflows, the companies plan to deliver intelligent automation through generative AI agents.
