Reliance Foundation to Build AI-Driven 2,000-Bed Medical City in Mumbai

Reliance Foundation is launching a 2,000-bed medical city in Mumbai that combines artificial intelligence diagnostics with advanced medical technology. The focus is on delivering affordable, high-quality healthcare accessible to all. This facility aims to set a new standard in healthcare innovation within India.

Continuing a Legacy of Patient Care

The Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital has treated over 3.3 million patients in the last decade. Building on that solid foundation, a new wing called Jeevan will provide specialized care in chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and pediatric cancer treatment. This addition emphasizes both advanced therapies and compassionate patient support.

Educating the Next Generation of Medical Professionals

The medical city will include a medical college focused on training doctors equipped to meet India's healthcare needs. The goal is to increase capacity while making world-class healthcare affordable and accessible nationwide.

Beyond healthcare facilities, Reliance Foundation’s initiatives reach 55,000 villages, positively affecting 1.5 million lives annually. Programs cover water security, sustainable farming, support for fishing communities, and empowerment of women and children. More than 1,100 anganwadis in Maharashtra and Telangana have been modernized to improve early childhood education for 10 million kids.

Sports and Youth Development

The Education and Sports for All program has engaged 23 million children, nurturing talent from grassroots levels to professional platforms. Highlights include Robin Minz, the first tribal cricketer in the Indian Premier League, and the Mumbai Indians Women's team, which has won two Women’s Premier League titles.

Reliance Foundation also backs India's bid to host the 2036 Olympic and Paralympic Games, emphasizing youth empowerment through sports.

Wildlife Conservation and Animal Welfare

Vantara, a wildlife rescue and rehabilitation project led by Anant Ambani, currently cares for 150,000 rescued animals. Recently, it was honored with the Prani Mitra Award, India's highest recognition in animal welfare.

Urban Green Spaces and Cultural Initiatives in Mumbai

Mumbai will benefit from the Coastal Road Gardens, a new 130-acre urban green space. It will feature cycling tracks, walking paths, and plazas to encourage outdoor activity and community engagement.

The Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) has attracted global and Indian performances, including Broadway shows and classical art, enriching Mumbai’s cultural landscape in just two years.

Reliance Foundation’s work reflects a commitment to building a healthcare system and community infrastructure that prioritize compassion and accessibility.
