OneShield Introduces AI Hub to Advance Insurance Technology
OneShield, a prominent provider of core insurance technology solutions for property and casualty insurers and MGAs, has launched the OneShield AI Hub. This marks the first centralized platform dedicated to the secure development, deployment, and governance of artificial intelligence (AI) within the insurance software space.
The AI Hub offers a secure, unified environment where OneShield’s teams, clients, and partners can come together to create and implement AI solutions specifically for the OneShield ecosystem. Initially, it will provide internal teams with a suite of AI agents and tools powered by large language models (LLMs), enabling faster and safer delivery of impactful insurance use cases.
Built for Interoperability and Scale
Doug Moore, Chief Innovation Officer at OneShield, highlighted that the AI Hub’s design focuses on interoperability and scalability. By utilizing Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent-to-Agent (A2A) standards, the platform aims to foster a collaborative AI ecosystem connecting carriers, MGAs, and third-party applications.
AI Use Cases Driving Efficiency
The AI Hub supports ongoing AI projects across OneShield’s core products: OneShield Enterprise (OSE) and OneShield Market Solutions (OMS). Liza Petrie, President of OneShield Enterprise, pointed out a key early use case involving an AI agent that automates the parsing and structuring of SERFF filings. This process, which traditionally required hours of manual work, now takes just seconds.
Rex Blazevich, President of OneShield Market Solutions, emphasized that the AI Hub streamlines delivery and enhances existing workflows. Current projects include automated claims triage and intelligent policy summarization. The shared framework within the AI Hub ensures these solutions meet security and compliance requirements while speeding up deployment.

CEO Tony Villa expressed enthusiasm about the AI Hub's potential to change how insurance technology is built and delivered. He notes that it will empower insurers to operate more efficiently and adapt quickly, signaling the start of a new era in intelligent insurance operations.
