Optimera improves supply chain insights with AI-Assisted Diagnostics from RELEX
Dec 2, 2025 * 2 min
Optimera Svenska AB is rolling out AI-Assisted Diagnostics from RELEX Solutions to find the root causes of stockouts and other supply chain issues, then turn those findings into clear, actionable recommendations. The goal is simple: resolve problems faster, reduce lost sales, and improve productivity across stores and distribution centers.
Operating 65 stores and six distribution centers across Sweden, Optimera manages more than 300,000 SKUs for professional builders and contractors. They have used RELEX forecasting and replenishment since 2019. As an early adopter of AI-Assisted Diagnostics, they're pushing further on data-driven execution.
After adopting RELEX Diagnostics in 2024 to identify stockout causes, Optimera has now added AI agents to automate analysis and speed up decision-making. Insights move into action faster, which supports continuous improvement.
What changes on the ground
- Automatic detection of recurring performance issues behind stockouts and availability gaps.
- Prioritized recommendations, such as adjusting replenishment parameters (order frequency, safety stock, minimum order quantities) or refining sourcing strategies.
- Less manual triage, quicker turnaround from insight to action, fewer escalations.
- Stronger internal and supplier conversations, backed by data and clear reasoning.
"As a forward-thinking organization, we are always looking for new ways to use technology to improve how we serve our customers," said Thomas Johansson, Logistics Director, Optimera Svenska AB. "AI-Assisted Diagnostics takes our collaboration with RELEX to the next level, turning data into clear actions that help us act faster and smarter across our supply chain."
"With the AI-driven recommendations, it's much easier to pinpoint the underlying causes of recurring issues and prevent them before they happen," said MΓ₯rten Leijman, Demand Planner, Optimera Svenska AB. "The insights will help us in our daily work and also support better, data-driven discussions internally and with suppliers."
"We are proud to see Optimera benefit from our latest diagnostic capabilities," said Tiina Kanninen, SVP, Customer Success at RELEX Solutions. "This work shows how AI agents can translate complex supply chain data into clear, actionable steps. Optimera's forward-thinking approach exemplifies how our customers can use innovation to stay ahead of challenges and lead the industry."
