Oracle's AI Agents Automate Finance and Supply Chain Work
Oracle has released Fusion Agentic Applications, a suite of AI tools built into its cloud platform that automate routine finance and supply chain tasks. The applications use specialized AI agents to handle specific workflows-from claims settlement to warehouse operations-while keeping decisions aligned with company policies and approval rules.
The 12 new applications target finance, procurement, logistics and manufacturing teams. For finance departments, two workspaces focus on cash flow: Claims Settlement Workspace speeds up claims cycles, while Collectors Workspace accelerates cash collection and improves working capital.
A Cost Accounting Close Workspace flags key issues during period close to reduce manual effort and shorten the timeline. The applications escalate complex or high-impact decisions to human users rather than deciding independently.
How the agents work
The AI agents draw on enterprise data, existing workflows, policies and approval rules. They run on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure within Oracle's security model, meaning organizations maintain control over how decisions get made.
Steve Miranda, Executive Vice President of Applications Development at Oracle, said finance and supply chain teams spend too much time on manual follow-ups and handoffs across systems. "With agentic applications that can reason, decide and act against defined objectives, finance and supply chain teams can move from passive productivity to systems that proactively carry work forward," he said.
What's included beyond finance
Beyond finance, the suite includes Design-to-Source Workspace for procurement teams to connect engineering and sourcing decisions in a single flow. Sales Order Command Center centralizes order work so teams manage holds and exceptions from one interface.
Supply chain teams get a Logistics Execution Command Center that flags urgent issues and guides resolution. At the warehouse level, a Warehouse Operations Workspace provides visibility across stock, inbound and outbound flows, and workforce performance.
Organizations can build custom agents using Oracle AI Agent Studio and its Agentic Applications Builder, which includes monitoring and safety tools to track results at scale.
