Oracle Launches Unified AI Data Platform for Federal Agencies
Oracle announced a new AI Data Platform designed specifically for U.S. federal agencies on Tuesday at the Oracle Federal Forum. The platform integrates the company's cloud infrastructure, AI database, and AI services to help agencies deploy artificial intelligence applications while meeting strict security requirements.
The platform addresses a core problem in government: data scattered across separate systems. By consolidating these silos, agencies can build generative AI and LLM applications faster while maintaining compliance with Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program High and Impact Level 5 security standards.
What the Platform Includes
The AI Data Platform bundles several Oracle products:
- Oracle Autonomous AI Database with "Select AI," which lets non-technical staff query data using plain language instead of SQL
- OCI Enterprise AI, providing access to large language models in a secure environment
- Oracle Analytics, which uses AI to surface trends and anomalies for decision-makers
- OCI Object Storage, a scalable foundation for analyzing structured and unstructured data together
Kim Lynch, executive vice president of Oracle's government division, said the platform gives "federal agencies a powerful, cost-effective way to connect data and workflows to generative AI."
New Computing Power and AI Models
Oracle is adding NVIDIA B300 graphics processing units to its government cloud regions. These GPUs handle the computational demands of large language model training and inference.
The company is also integrating new AI models: xAI Grok 4 and Grok 4 Fast for data extraction and code generation, plus NVIDIA Nemotron models for high-throughput applications. Agencies can choose models based on their specific mission needs-whether situational awareness or cybersecurity.
Financial Operations Get AI Integration
Oracle also announced that Oracle Cloud Federal Financials has been added to the Department of the Treasury's Financial Management Quality Service Management Office Marketplace. It's the first cloud-native financial system approved for the marketplace.
The system embeds AI directly into financial workflows, automating budget planning, funds control, and debt collection. Rondy Ng, executive vice president of applications development at Oracle, said the move "builds on our proven track record across the public sector."
