OSO-AI and VYV3: A Strategic Partnership Serving Healthcare Providers

An AI Attuned to Vulnerable People

OSO-AI, a deeptech company from Brest focused on Ambient Intelligence (AmI) for vulnerable populations and healthcare providers, joined forces with VYV3, the care and support division of France’s VYV Group. The partnership was officially announced on May 21 at the SantExpo exhibition, highlighting the "Augmented Ear for Caregivers"—an intelligent listening system crafted to boost resident safety and lighten the workload of healthcare teams.

In social-medical settings, especially during night shifts, managing caregiver-to-patient ratios is a constant challenge. OSO-AI's solution addresses this by using a wall-mounted, Wi-Fi connected device equipped with microphones and sensors. Coupled with AI algorithms, it detects urgent incidents such as falls, respiratory distress, cries, or calls for help in real time. When an event occurs, alerts are sent instantly to care staff on smartphones or tablets, enabling swift intervention.

A Partnership for Large-Scale Deployment

For VYV3, which oversees more than 1,700 establishments across France, the goal extends beyond introducing new technology. It’s about integrating tools that ease long-term operational pressures while honoring core values of mutual care. After several months of trials involving over 500 rooms, feedback from users has been positive.

Valérie Levacher, director of VYV3’s support unit, shared: “We have been able to test and adopt a highly innovative solution that improves both the quality of care for our patients and residents, and the organization of our professionals’ workload. This partnership adds new momentum to our shared, forward-looking efforts in caregiving.”

Encouraged by frontline teams’ responses, VYV3 plans to accelerate the rollout of this technology across its facilities.
