Ottocast Launches NanoAI: A New Generation Android Car Box for Smarter Vehicles
Ottocast, a leader in aftermarket car and smartphone connectivity, has introduced the NanoAI, its latest Android car box. This new device integrates an AI emotive display, voice assistant, CloudSIM, and runs on Android 13, offering an upgraded and intelligent in-vehicle experience.
High-Performance Hardware and Seamless Connectivity
The NanoAI runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chip, with a base model featuring 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Thanks to Android 13 and CloudSIM technology, it connects to the internet without requiring Wi-Fi, hotspots, or physical SIM cards. This setup ensures uninterrupted connectivity for users on the move.
It supports smooth switching between CarPlay, Android Auto, and OttoDrive 2.5, giving users more personalization and access to a wide range of applications. The device’s 1.83-inch AI screen responds to voice commands, promoting safer driving by minimizing distractions.
Enhanced User Interaction and Safety Features
The AI-powered Co-Pilot enhances conversational interactions, making communication with the vehicle more natural and intelligent. Users can access apps and features beyond standard CarPlay or Android Auto, stream videos, browse the web, and use non-native apps directly on the display.
Installation is plug-and-play, eliminating cable clutter and simplifying smartphone integration. Additional safety features include GPS tracking and security functions, reinforcing the device’s role in vehicle safety.
A Shift Toward Intelligent Car Computing
According to Hery Zeng, deputy director of Ottocast’s product development center, NanoAI represents more than a product upgrade. It signals a new vision for combining user experience with AI in smart cockpits.
CEO Sophia Chang highlights that the AI emotive display and voice control transform the vehicle from a mere machine into a co-pilot partner, enhancing user interaction.
This product marks Ottocast's move from focusing on car adapters to developing intelligent car computing terminals. It lowers barriers for smart cockpit upgrades and aims to elevate aftermarket products to higher value categories.
Looking Ahead
Ottocast plans to expand its product lineup, continuing to innovate in the smart cockpit space and reshape in-vehicle lifestyles. The goal is to transform cars into a versatile “third space” for users.
