Ping An Integrates AI to Enhance Digital Health and Insurance Services
Ping An Healthcare and Technology Company Limited has relaunched its health services platform as Ping An Good Doctor, introducing a new set of annual healthcare services. These offerings focus on improving accessibility, efficiency, and continuous care by integrating healthcare with insurance solutions.
The updated platform centers on three key areas:
- Proactive family doctor support
- Direct access to medical specialists
- Full-cycle care coordination
This approach addresses the growing demand for integrated medical services from both consumers and corporate clients. Michael Guo Xiaotao, co-CEO and executive director of Ping An Group, emphasized the company’s commitment to combining financial services with health management through a comprehensive network. This network includes the Ping An Good Doctor platform and the self-operated PKU Healthcare Group, offering services online, in-store, at home, and within workplaces.
Expanding Digital Healthcare Ecosystem
Ping An Good Doctor currently serves 400 million registered users, with 20 million subscribed to its family doctor service. The platform partners with over 2,100 companies, providing medical services to more than 5 million employees. Li Dou, chairman and CEO of Ping An's health tech subsidiary, explained that the rebranding reflects the company’s mission to connect doctors and patients professionally while safeguarding health.
The platform connects users to more than 50,000 physicians across 29 medical disciplines. It also integrates 105,000 health service partners, 235,000 pharmacies, and 4,000 hospitals. A standout feature is the “zero-distance” consultation, which allows patients to consult with over 3,000 medical experts within three hours.
