French Startup Pletor Raises €2M to Transform Visual Marketing with AI Agents
Pletor, a Paris-based AI brand engine, has secured €2 million in funding to help marketers and designers create custom AI agents that generate visual marketing assets at scale. Unlike many AI tools that focus on producing single images or videos, Pletor aims to support entire campaigns that convert and maintain brand distinctiveness.
Marketers and creatives are increasingly looking for tools that do more than just create visuals on demand. They want solutions that streamline collaboration and provide data-driven insights to craft effective campaigns. Pletor answers this demand by enabling users to build AI agents capable of generating on-brand assets, analyzing competitor ads, and mining performance data to suggest winning strategies.
How Pletor Works
Users can generate visual assets and video ads while benchmarking their work against competitors—all within a single platform. This integrated approach helps creative teams explore new directions without juggling multiple tools.
Looking ahead, Pletor plans to offer plug-and-play integrations with popular design systems, CRMs, and company operating systems. This will allow teams to embed AI agents directly into their workflows, increasing efficiency and impact.
Founders with Deep Experience
The founding team combines expertise in AI, marketing, design, and automation. Ferdinand Terme (CEO) and Maxime Fonsale (CPO) previously led growth and product at French fintech scaleup Alma. They teamed up with Antoine Sueur (CTO), a generative AI pioneer working on image generation models since 2019. The trio connected through Station F’s Director, Roxanne Varza.
Strong Backing from Industry Leaders
The funding round was led by Atlantic Labs, with participation from Kima Ventures and notable angel investors from marketing and design, including:
- Kieran Flanagan, SVP Marketing at HubSpot and former CMO at Zapier
- Claude Alexandre, VP of B2B at Adobe
- Antoine Le Nel, CMO at Revolut
- Antoine Pabst, former CEO at Publicis Luxe
- Scouts from a16z and Sequoia
Lukas Erbguth, Principal at Atlantic Labs, highlighted how AI-driven workflows let marketing teams move faster and scale smarter, praising Pletor’s blend of growth experience, product vision, and AI expertise.
Alexis Robert, General Partner at Kima Ventures, noted that Pletor goes beyond basic AI visuals by reshaping how brands create and scale marketing campaigns.
Global Reach and Future Plans
From the start, Pletor has attracted an international customer base, with half of its clients located outside France. Its portfolio includes fast-growing scale-ups like Fever and Dalma, alongside established French companies such as BETC, Smartbox, and Les Furets.
Currently a team of five, Pletor aims to hire about ten more people by the end of the year. The new funding will accelerate product development, expand integrations, and support international growth.
