Pluvo Raises $5M To Bring Decision Intelligence To Finance Teams
Pluvo, an AI-native financial analysis platform built for CFOs and FP&A teams, closed a $5 million seed round to accelerate its agentic analysis engine and expand go-to-market. The round includes Andreessen Horowitz's a16z speedrun, Deel, The Perseverance Fund, StandUp Ventures, and AltaIR Capital, plus strategic angels and existing customer CFOs. The company operates out of Ottawa and San Francisco and was accepted into a16z's flagship early-stage program.
The gap Pluvo targets
Finance teams have ERPs, CRMs, HRISs, and billing systems that capture plenty of data. The problem is translating that data into timely, computation-backed decisions. Pluvo positions itself at the decision layer-sitting on top of systems of record to surface what matters now, not a week from now.
How the platform works
Pluvo uses agentic AI orchestration to deploy specialized agents that analyze financial models, stress-test forecast assumptions, and evaluate scenarios in real time. The system produces structured, model-grounded insights within minutes so finance leaders can assess trade-offs without waiting on manual analysis. Unlike planning tools focused on data prep and reporting, Pluvo concentrates on decision support and explainability.
- Continuous variance analysis tied to drivers and assumptions
- Multi-scenario planning with side-by-side comparisons
- AI-driven forecasting anchored to your financial model
- Context-aware performance explanations you can interrogate
- Real-time simulation for "what if" questions in the moment
- Institutional memory that captures reasoning behind past decisions
Why it matters for CFOs and FP&A
Speed and clarity decide outcomes. Pluvo aims to compress the cycle from question to answer, with analysis you can audit and challenge. The company emphasizes model-grounded reasoning, enterprise-grade data integrity, and a mandate to augment finance teams-not replace them.
Key quotes from Pluvo leadership
"CFOs don't need another dashboard. They need a system that actually helps them move from data to decisions faster. That's what we're building." - Alex Labrèche, CEO and Co-Founder of Pluvo
"Every CFO we talk to has the data. What they don't have is the time to make sense of it before the moment passes. Pluvo closes that gap. If your finance tools can't help you explore multiple options and make informed decisions in the moment, they're just outdated calculators and spreadsheets cosplaying finance tools." - Seb Fallenbuchl, COO of Pluvo
Who backed the round and what's next
The seed round features a16z speedrun, Deel, The Perseverance Fund, StandUp Ventures, and AltaIR Capital, alongside strategic angels and several customer CFOs. Pluvo is an Alchemist Accelerator alum and was selected for a16z speedrun from more than 19,000 applicants. The company currently supports growth-stage and mid-market teams.
New capital will expand the agentic analysis engine, scale product and engineering, and deepen integrations across ERP, CRM, HRIS, and billing platforms. Go-to-market efforts will focus on finance leaders who need faster scenario evaluation, tighter forecast governance, and clear audit trails.
What finance leaders can do now
Audit your current decision workflow: where are analysts spending time, and which steps stall decisions? Identify 2-3 high-variance areas-pricing, hiring plan, CAC payback-then pilot a scenario process that enforces assumptions, driver mapping, and traceable changes. Set guardrails for data lineage and access; measure time-to-decision and post-mortem quality over a quarter.
