Procore Launches Connected Data Platform Built for Agentic AI in Construction
Procore announced a Common Data Environment (CDE) designed to unify project data, BIM models, documents, and workflows across a single platform. The system creates a verified record from design approval through project handover, establishing the foundation for AI agents to work directly within construction processes.
The move addresses a persistent industry problem: fragmented data across disconnected systems. Research from Dodge Construction Network found that firms with optimized data practices achieve 23% higher productivity, handle 27.8% greater construction volume with the same resources, and reduce project delays by more than six days.
How the Platform Works
Procore's CDE connects BIM models, drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and field activity data in one location. The platform streams BIM models of any size directly to mobile devices, turning static models into live execution workspaces that reflect real-time project conditions.
The system embeds AI capabilities directly into project workflows. These AI agents can surface answers already contained within project records before new RFIs are created, flag discrepancies between approved designs and field execution, and connect related workflows and historical context to accelerate issue resolution. Tasks that previously required hours of manual searching can be completed in minutes.
Lee Miles, General Manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa at Procore, said: "As regulatory expectations rise, projects become more complex, and firms adopt AI, connected data is becoming a competitive advantage. Organizations are moving beyond simple document storage and toward trusted and connected information environments."
Automation Impact
Buro Happold's Chief Technology Officer Alain Waha said the firm is on track to reduce construction administration work related to RFI creation, response, and submittal review by 50% using the embedded AI.
Unlike general-purpose AI tools, Procore's system is built specifically for construction and grounded in verified project data. When teams encounter coordination challenges or safety concerns, the AI identifies root causes earlier and recommends next actions rather than simply retrieving information.
Compliance and Rollout
The platform supports ISO 19650 and the Building Safety Act, addressing regulatory requirements for UK and European firms. Procore established a localized UK Data Zone, with an EU Data Zone planned for fall 2026. The company targets Cyber Essentials certification by year end.
The CDE will initially launch in the UK and Ireland before expanding across EMEA. Procore is showcasing the platform at Digital Construction Week in London on June 3-4.
