Quandri Raises $12 Million USD to Expand AI Platform for Insurance

Vancouver-based insurtech startup Quandri has secured $12 million USD ($16.5 million CAD) in new funding to grow its AI platform aimed at the insurance sector. The company focuses on automating highly manual, repetitive personal policy servicing tasks to help insurance brokers and agents operate more efficiently.

Since launching in the US in late 2024, Quandri has reported strong product-market fit, with quarter-over-quarter growth doubling or tripling. This momentum comes alongside the acquisition of major agency clients across North America.

Plans for Growth and Market Expansion

Quandri intends to use the fresh capital to accelerate its go-to-market efforts in both Canada and the US. The startup will also expand operations, boost engineering and AI development, and grow its workforce significantly.

  • Founded in 2021 by brothers Jamieson (President) and Jackson Fregeau (CEO)
  • Offers AI-powered renewal intelligence software
  • Helps brokers streamline tasks and uncover actionable policy insights
  • Improves renewal experiences for end customers

The Series A-plus round, closed in May, was led by Framework Venture Partners with participation from Intact Ventures—the venture arm of insurance firm Intact Financial—and existing investors like Defined Capital and Fuse.

Strong Backing and Market Validation

Framework Venture Partners provides tech investment expertise while Intact Ventures contributes insurance and insurtech insights. This combination supports Quandri’s scaling ambitions. The round represents an increase over the previous Series A, bringing total funding to $22 million USD, including a $1.5 million seed round from 2022.

Quandri reports a 15-fold increase in revenue since its Series A and a customer base exceeding 100 insurance agencies and brokerages across North America. Clients include Brokerlink, Western Financial Group, HomeServices Insurance, and BlueRidge Risk Partners.

Product Enhancements and Team Growth

The company has expanded its team fivefold to 75 full-time employees and introduced AI-driven features like policy checking, requoting, and personalized client outreach. These tools enable brokers to automate renewal reviews, gain insights, streamline quoting, and engage proactively with customers.

Clients have seen improved retention rates and revenue growth through better upselling and cross-selling opportunities. Chris Rosati, President and CEO of HomeServices Insurance, noted that Quandri has helped the firm operate more efficiently and focus staff on higher-value tasks.

Future Hiring and Geographic Expansion

To support its growth, Quandri plans to add over 40 employees by the end of 2025 across product, engineering, go-to-market, and customer service roles. The startup will expand its Vancouver headquarters with a new 15,000-square-foot office and open a hub in Boston to better serve US clients.

The Boston location was chosen for its insurtech talent pool and strategic position on the East Coast, complementing Quandri’s Vancouver base and enabling coast-to-coast coverage.

How Quandri’s AI Platform Works

Quandri’s software analyzes existing personal lines insurance policies and renewal data, generates quotes based on current market rates, and compiles this into hyper-personalized emails. Brokers can review and send these directly to clients, simplifying the renewal process and uncovering actionable insights.
