Entertainment AI Platform Quilty Launches With Scoring System for Creative Projects
Quilty, a new AI platform designed for film and television producers, launched this week to help streamline creative and financial decisions on productions. The tool consolidates analysis, packaging, market forecasting, and production planning in one place.
Co-founders Simon Horsman and Daniel Wood built the platform to address what they see as a fragmented industry decision-making process. Horsman, a technology lawyer and Emmy-winning producer, serves as CEO. Wood, a tech entrepreneur and film producer, is CTO.
The core feature is a "Quilty Score," a proprietary evaluation framework that analyzes projects across four dimensions: Story & Craft, Commercial Viability, Cultural Resonance, and Production Reality. The score aims to provide objective assessment of creative work and production feasibility.
"For decades, the industry has relied on expensive, disconnected solutions and informal networks for its decision making," Horsman said. "Quilty connects every creative and commercial decision in one place."
The platform targets multiple roles: writers, producers, financiers, studio executives, and industry representatives. It also handles writer development, industry introductions, and legal intelligence functions.

Horsman and Wood have worked together for 20 years, starting at PriceGrabber.com before that company sold for $485 million in 2005. Horsman has raised over $350 million in entertainment financing and won Emmy, Tony, and Olivier awards.
