Rajasthan to Launch AI Policy 2025

The Rajasthan government is set to introduce the Rajasthan AI Policy 2025 soon, aiming to position the state as a prominent hub for digital innovation and technology advancement in India.

The policy focuses on three core pillars:

  • Government-led adoption of ethical and responsible artificial intelligence.
  • Promotion of skill development and research within the state.
  • Development of comprehensive digital infrastructure.

Centre of Excellence for AI

To put this policy into action, the government will establish a Centre of Excellence for AI (CoE-AI). This center will drive innovation by collaborating with startups, academic institutions, and private sector players. The initiative supports the National India AI Mission and follows global best practices.

Supporting Policies and Initiatives

The government’s AVGC-XR Policy will strengthen Rajasthan’s position in animation, gaming, and visual effects sectors. Additionally, four Atal Innovation Studios and Accelerators are planned with an investment of Rs 1,000 crore, promoting entrepreneurship and innovation.

Alongside this, the Agriculture Accelerator Mission has been launched to integrate technology into agriculture, enhancing productivity and sustainability.

Data Centre Policy 2025

Recognizing the importance of technology infrastructure, the government unveiled the Rajasthan Data Centre Policy 2025. This policy encourages private-sector investment in data centres across Rajasthan, aiming to build a world-class data centre ecosystem.

The focus is on improving the efficiency, security, and reliability of data centre operations, positioning Rajasthan as a key player in this sector.

Rajasthan State Data Centre (RSDC)

The Rajasthan State Data Centre, also known as the Bhamashah State Data Centre, is the country’s largest government-owned data centre. Equipped with advanced technology, it includes four disaster recovery (DR) sites in Jaipur and one in Jodhpur.

With a total capacity of 800 racks, the RSDC-P4 facility offers a Tier-4 design and guarantees 99.995% uptime, ensuring reliable data management for government operations.
