Rally Ventures Names Liz Benz Operating Partner to Guide Portfolio Companies on AI-Native Growth

Rally Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm, promoted Liz Benz to Operating Partner effective immediately. Benz previously worked with the firm as a Technology Partner and brings sales leadership experience from her time as Chief Sales Officer at Jamf.

In her new full-time role, Benz will work directly with Rally's portfolio companies to refine their go-to-market execution using AI-native approaches. She will also contribute to Rally Built, the firm's company creation platform that works alongside its seed and Series A investment strategy.

Track Record in Revenue Scaling

At Jamf, Benz scaled annual recurring revenue from $70 million to over $700 million while managing global sales strategy. Her earlier roles included leadership positions at Field Nation, Oracle, and Digital River, where she focused on business development and revenue operations across expanding customer bases.

Justin Kaufenberg, Managing Director at Rally Ventures, said Benz's experience taking a company through multiple growth phases gives her practical insight into what it takes to reach scale. "She's already made a tremendous impact as a Tech Partner, and now she'll be part of the day-to-day work with our portfolio companies," Kaufenberg said.

Expanding the Firm's Leadership

Rally Ventures recently added Ben Fried as Venture Partner and Luke Zaientz as Operating Partner. The firm is currently deploying capital from Rally Fund V, targeting companies in AI and machine learning, fintech, and cybersecurity.

Benz said the move from advisory to full-time operating partner allows her to work more deeply with founders from their earliest stages. "I'm excited to help build and support companies from their earliest days," she said.
