Razer Opens AI Centre of Excellence in Singapore
Razer, a leading lifestyle brand for gamers, has launched its AI Centre of Excellence in Singapore. This centre marks the first phase of Razer's global AI strategy, with plans to establish additional AI hubs in Europe and the United States. These interconnected centres aim to boost Razer's global presence and foster collaboration in AI-driven gaming innovation.
The gaming industry is experiencing significant growth, expected to reach nearly US$400 billion by 2033. Within this sector, AI gaming is anticipated to expand to US$28 billion, growing annually at 28.4%. The U.S. gaming market, one of the largest and most dynamic worldwide, offers substantial opportunities for AI development and partnerships.
Li-Meng Lee, Chief Strategy Officer at Razer, stated, "Our global AI Centres of Excellence represent a strategic investment in AI gaming. By advancing research, talent, and product innovation, we aim to lead the future of gaming. The Singapore centre will be a key driver of this mission, alongside our hubs in Europe and the USA."
Driving AI Gaming Innovation in Singapore
Supported by Digital Industry Singapore—a collaboration among the Singapore Economic Development Board, EnterpriseSG, and Infocomm Media Development Authority—the new centre will be a key asset in Razer’s push toward next-generation AI gaming technologies. It is set to become one of the largest and most advanced AI gaming facilities in Singapore.
The centre focuses on accelerating innovation through expert talent development, advanced research, and rapid product creation. Its goal is to deliver AI-powered solutions that enhance production efficiency, enrich player engagement, and improve game quality globally. This initiative also supports Singapore’s national vision to strengthen AI capabilities and lead digital transformation efforts.
Razer plans to recruit 150 AI specialists locally, covering fields such as engineering, data science, and game development. To support this expansion, the company has implemented a skills-first, high-engagement hiring process for AI roles, offering a streamlined experience for candidates. Interested professionals can find opportunities on Razer’s official website.
Philbert Gomez, Executive Director and Head of Digital Industry Singapore, highlighted, "Razer's AI Centre of Excellence highlights Singapore's appeal for AI development in digital sectors. Their AI-powered gaming solutions will create opportunities for talent to develop flagship AI gaming products here, strengthening Singapore’s role as an AI innovation hub."
Flagship AI Gaming Technologies and Global Collaboration
Razer’s AI tools are designed to support developers and studios by providing intelligent solutions that enhance gameplay, optimize development, and speed up innovation cycles. A key offering is Razer Game Co-AI, a generative AI copilot that delivers real-time tactical coaching tailored to individual player behavior, enabling more dynamic and personalized gaming experiences.
Another important tool is Razer QA Companion (QA Co-AI), which automates quality assurance testing and bug detection. This AI solution cuts QA time by up to 50%, helping developers improve game quality, reduce costs, and shorten time-to-market. Currently in beta with AAA, AA, and indie studios, QA Co-AI is expected to launch globally soon via AWS Marketplace.
Future AI centres in Europe and the U.S. will build on Singapore’s foundation, focusing on regional innovation and talent growth. The European hub will lead development of WYVRN, Razer’s developer platform that streamlines workflows and enhances creativity through a single SDK. This platform integrates Razer's proprietary tech like AI Game Tools, Sensa HD Haptics, Chroma RGB, and THX Spatial to help developers create more immersive gaming experiences.
