Redbrick and MDX Dubai Forge Partnership to Advance AI Education and Innovation
October 30, 2025
Redbrick and the Middlesex University (MDX) Dubai Innovation Hub (MIH) have signed a memorandum of understanding to accelerate AI education and research. The agreement was formalized on October 16 at GITEX GLOBAL 2025 in Dubai, signaling a practical push to connect students with real projects and industry needs.
Based in Dubai's Knowledge Park, the MDX Dubai Innovation Hub brings students and enterprises together to work on AI, data science, and digital transformation initiatives. This partnership adds structure and scale to that mission.
What the partnership includes
- Collaboration in AI education and research
- AI internship programs
- Joint workshops, special lectures, and hackathons
- Knowledge exchange to grow a global education ecosystem
Redbrick will support MDX Dubai students on real-world projects using its AI content creation platform and educational AI agent technology. The outcome: more hands-on learning, clearer skill development, and faster transitions from classroom to workplace.
Why this matters for educators
- Embed internships and project briefs into modules to give students direct exposure to AI workflows.
- Co-develop workshops or hackathons to test skills against real constraints and timelines.
- Use partner tools to prototype classroom AI agents for support, feedback, and assessment at scale.
Leaders involved
The signing ceremony included Professor Cedwyn Fernandes, Pro-Vice Chancellor of Middlesex University and Director of MDX Dubai; Professor Fehmida Hussain, Deputy Director of MDX Dubai and Head of MIH; Doctor Jeongsoo Han and Doctor Engie Bashir, Co-Chairs of MIH; and Redbrick CEO Yeongmo Yang with Co-founder Kwangyong Lee.
"Beginning with our collaboration with MDX Dubai, we plan to expand partnerships with global educational institutions and establish a model where AI technology makes practical contributions to the education sector." - Yeongmo Yang, CEO, Redbrick
Next steps in the UAE
Selected for Abu Dhabi's Hub71, Redbrick plans to broaden collaboration with universities and institutions across the UAE. The focus is clear: nurture AI talent and deepen industry-academia ties that translate into employable skills.
