Relativity and Wickard.ai offer free e-discovery training to law schools
E-discovery company Relativity is partnering with legal AI education startup Wickard.ai to provide law students free access to RelativityOne software alongside AI-focused training programs. The partnership launches at participating law schools.
The curriculum covers AI regulation and methods for verifying AI outputs-skills law firms increasingly expect from new graduates.
Phil Saunders, Relativity's CEO, said the partnership reflects the company's responsibility to prepare lawyers for current industry demands. "Bringing together two organizations that are serious about expanding access to legal AI education to drive meaningful outcomes is exactly what this moment calls for," he said in a statement Tuesday.
Oliver Roberts, founder and CEO of Wickard.ai, noted that legal AI literacy is becoming essential for practicing lawyers. Wickard.ai previously led the nation's first required AI course for law students at Case Western Reserve University School of Law in Ohio.
The arrangement gives law schools a way to integrate practical AI training without additional software costs. Students gain hands-on experience with tools they'll likely encounter in practice.
For lawyers and paralegals seeking to strengthen their own AI skills, resources like the AI for Legal training and the AI Learning Path for Paralegals cover document review automation and legal research tools that complement e-discovery workflows.
