ROX builds integrated manufacturing ecosystem in UAE, targets 300,000 annual units by 2030
ROX, a luxury electric vehicle maker, announced a strategy to build an AI-driven industrial system across the UAE that connects manufacturing, logistics, materials, and talent development. The company presented the plan at Make it in the Emirates 2026, positioning itself as a contributor to the country's operation to boost advanced manufacturing and exports.
The company has sold more than 5,000 vehicles in the UAE and over 20,000 across the MENA region. In the UAE's luxury all-terrain SUV segment above $80,000, ROX holds more than 10 percent market share and leads in share growth within that category.
The integrated system approach
ROX is connecting partners across multiple sectors rather than operating isolated capabilities. The company has partnered with Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi on an Advanced AI Manufacturing Center, Borouge on advanced materials, Aleria on sovereign AI and video analytics for autonomous vehicles, and Tahaluf Al-Emarat on mobility data and smart city applications.
The strategy extends to supply chain and service infrastructure. Last month, ROX established a regional spare parts hub with JINGDONG Logistics to strengthen after-sales readiness and position the UAE as a regional service and export base for MENA markets.
Production targets and talent development
ROX set a goal to reach 300,000 units in annual production capacity by 2030, which the company says could contribute up to 10 percent to the UAE's Operation 300Bn initiative-the government's plan to increase manufacturing output.
The company is expanding design and talent partnerships. Design Commission Abu Dhabi will co-develop a special-edition ROX vehicle with a unique colorway to be auctioned during Abu Dhabi Car Week in November, with proceeds supporting automotive residency programs. ROX is also working with Abu Dhabi Vocational Education and Training Institute on vocational training and with Al-Khaznah Leathers on applying traditional leather expertise to new materials and supply chains.
Jarvis Yan, ROX's founder and CEO, said the effort focuses on "connecting capabilities across the industrial value chain" to strengthen the UAE's position as a global production hub while supporting ROX's expansion into wider markets.
For professionals in AI for Product Development and AI for Operations, ROX's approach illustrates how companies integrate AI, advanced manufacturing, and supply chain systems into a single operating framework.
