RUCKUS Networks, part of Vistance Networks (NASDAQ: VISN), today announced an enhanced RUCKUS One Hospitality Edition that adds agentic AI operations, real-time hotel system integration, and new Wi-Fi 7 access points. The release targets hotel brands looking to cut operational costs and reduce infrastructure complexity as they support highly connected properties with smaller IT teams.
Agentic AI operations
The platform introduces its Digital Systems Engineer (DSE), an agentic AI tool that lets IT managers ask the network to assess performance and spot issues before events. For example, ahead of a large gathering, DSE can proactively flag authentication problems and suggest fixes. It also learns from repeated usage patterns to anticipate demand and optimise the network with minimal manual input.
Hotel PMS integration
RUCKUS One now integrates directly with a leading hotel property management system, syncing core operations and network services in real time without additional gateways. When a guest checks in, the system coordinates identity verification, room assignment, and payment validation. The network then authenticates the user against the live PMS registry, granting connectivity automatically. The integration reflects a shift toward AI for Hospitality & Events, linking guest-facing workflows to back-end automation that reduces manual overhead for IT teams.
Wi-Fi 7 access points
Two new access points arrive with the update: the tri-band R575 for high-capacity spaces like ballrooms, and the wall-plate H375 for in-room deployments. Both models work with existing PoE switches and cabling, so hotels can upgrade to Wi-Fi 7 without replacing the switching layer. Policy-driven automation inside RUCKUS One means access points pull predefined configurations and security policies automatically, cutting out device-by-device setup and accelerating installation.
"The evolution of RUCKUS One Hospitality Edition ushers in a new era of AI-driven outcomes for smarter hospitality. Networks become active partners, anticipating needs, adapting in real time, and continuously optimizing guest experiences," said Bart Giordano, SVP and president, RUCKUS Networks.
Why this matters for hospitality and events professionals
Property IT teams often run lean, yet guest expectations for constant, reliable connectivity keep rising. The DSE agent gives a small staff the ability to predict and resolve network problems before they jeopardise revenue-especially during high-traffic event periods. Integration with the PMS removes manual Wi-Fi onboarding steps at check-in, while the Wi-Fi 7 access points lower the cost and disruption of next-generation upgrades. Together, these tools make it easier to modernise hotel networks without adding headcount or ripping out existing infrastructure.
