Salesforce and Anthropic expand AI partnership - built for finance, compliance, and control

Salesforce and Anthropic are deepening their partnership to bring Claude into the Salesforce stack with security and compliance at the front. For finance teams, the headline is simple: use Claude inside Salesforce's trust boundary, integrate it with Agentforce 360 and Slack, and keep sensitive data under tight control.

The collaboration focuses on three things: Claude as a model option inside Agentforce 360, industry-specific solutions starting with financial services, and deeper integration with Slack for bi-directional workflows.

Trusted foundation for regulated data

This is the first full integration of a large language model provider within the Salesforce trust boundary. Claude traffic stays inside Salesforce's virtual private cloud, giving risk and compliance leaders tighter control over access, logging, and data residency.

Anthropic's models are hosted on Amazon Bedrock and accessible via Agentforce 360, combining enterprise controls with model performance.

Financial services focus: where it helps now

The first co-built solution is Claude for Financial Services inside Agentforce Financial Services. It supports tasks like analyzing financial instruments, summarizing insurance claims, tracking regulatory changes, managing consent, and automating client communications - all within compliance-ready workflows.

Example: a Claude-powered agent can summarize a client's portfolio, flag regulatory updates that affect retirement products, and draft outreach for advisor review. Slack integration: insights to action

Claude now works inside Slack through the platform's Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. It can summarize threads, extract decisions, draft updates, and analyze documents. It can also pull insights from Salesforce CRM, Tableau, and other systems to accelerate decision-making.

Engineering and internal use

Salesforce engineering teams are adopting Claude Code to speed up development tasks, documentation, and context handoff from Slack to code. Engineers can document code in Slack canvases, read specs from channels, and keep technical context close to execution.

Anthropic also uses Slack and Agentforce 360 internally to summarize long conversations, surface relevant context, and create guided actions without leaving Slack.

Availability

Agentforce powered by Anthropic is available to select customers today. The Claude-Slack integration is live. Additional industry-specific solutions and deeper Agentforce 360 capabilities inside Claude are in development, with more availability updates to follow.
