Samsung's AI-Connected Living Lineup Lands at CES 2026
12/17/2025 - Samsung is bringing its latest AI-connected home lineup to CES 2026 in Las Vegas (Jan. 6-9). The focus: faster fabric care, smarter temperature control, and cleaning that needs less babysitting. The lineup centers on four upgrades - Bespoke AI Laundry Combo, Bespoke AI AirDresser, Bespoke AI WindFree Pro Air Conditioner, and the Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam Ultra robot vacuum.
"This year, to enhance the living experience, we are unveiling our upgraded AirDresser, Laundry Combo, and WindFree Air Conditioner, developed by integrating valuable customer feedback and leveraging the R&D expertise we have accumulated over the years," said Jeong Seung Moon, EVP and Head of the R&D Team for the Digital Appliances (DA) Business at Samsung Electronics.
Why this matters for product development
- Sensor fusion and adaptive control: weight, fabric, soil sensing; radar-based presence detection; context-aware cooling and drying.
- Edge + ecosystem: on-device recognition paired with SmartThings orchestration (Auto Cycle Link) for cross-appliance handoffs.
- HMI options that fit price bands: 7" LCD vs. 2.8" LCD with jog dial on the Combo to expand market coverage.
- Operational UX prioritization: shorter end-to-end cycles, automatic door/airing, auto-select courses, and fewer manual cleanouts.
- Energy logic baked in: AI modes that modulate compressors and settings to cut consumption without user micromanagement.
Bespoke AI Laundry Combo: Faster cycles, better drying, less friction
The 2026 model cuts wash-to-dry time and improves drying. Super Speed uses a high-pressure Speed Spray to improve detergent penetration and rinsing. A new Booster Heat Exchanger boosts drying performance.
Auto Open Door+ now pops the door and circulates air after wash-only cycles to help prevent musty odors. The upgraded AI Wash & Dry+ uses multiple sensors to size the load, dose detergent and water, detect five fabric types (including Outdoor and Denim), and monitor soil in real time.
- Maintenance made easier: a Wide Lint Filter with a one-touch, dual-layer design and a larger capture area.
- Two SKUs: a 7" LCD version and a more affordable 2.8" LCD with a jog dial.
Bespoke AI AirDresser: Stronger wrinkle care and smarter drying
Auto Wrinkle Care combines Dual AirWash and Dual JetSteam to smooth wrinkles quickly - useful when you're racing the clock. Dual JetSteam also refreshes garments by pushing high temperature heat deep into fabrics, reducing 99.9% of certain viruses and bacteria and 99% of odors.
An intelligent drying course adjusts time for small, medium, or large loads to avoid over- or under-drying. The AirDresser links with the Laundry Combo via Auto Cycle Link - if you select a special care cycle (e.g., Blouse) on the Combo, the matching option is queued on the AirDresser. The refreshed unit adds a sleek One Body Door and a 2.8" LCD.
WindFree Pro Air Conditioner: Multi-blade airflow with presence-aware modes
Samsung moves from one to three blades, letting airflow steer in multiple directions based on user preference. Triple Motion Wings enable seven modes, including options for quicker cool-downs, even coverage, long-distance reach, and fast downward delivery.
- Notable modes: Max Wind (up to 15% faster initial cooling), Surround Wind (even spread), Long Reach Wind (roughly 2x the distance), Down Wind (drives cool air downward quickly).
- Radar-based AI Direct/Indirect Wind senses presence and aims or diverts airflow for comfort.
- AI Fast & Comfort Cooling analyzes temperature, humidity, and room size to auto-select optimal cooling, including cold-free Dry Comfort.
- AI Energy Mode helps reduce consumption by up to 30% by moderating compressor activity based on usage patterns and external conditions.
Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam Ultra: Object and liquid recognition to cut interventions
With a Qualcomm Dragonwing processor, the robot vacuum brings deep-learning-based object recognition to spot humans, cats, dogs, and low-profile obstacles like cables or rugs. It also detects liquid spills and follows your preference to clean or avoid them.
Upgraded Easy Pass Wheel tech raises the body and lowers the wheels to climb thresholds up to 2.4 inches. That means fewer stuck scenarios and more uninterrupted cleaning.
See it in Las Vegas
Hands-on demos will be available at Samsung's showroom inside Wynn Las Vegas during CES 2026. If your team is benchmarking AI features for appliances, it's worth a walkthrough to study cross-device flows, sensing strategies, and HMI trade-offs.
For teams building AI features into hardware
- Design for handoffs: Ensure devices expose their state so one product can trigger the next (e.g., wash cycle → garment care).
- Offer clear UX at different price points: keep core smarts consistent; right-size displays and controls per segment.
- Use recognition conservatively: communicate accuracy limits, and give users control for edge cases (like liquid cleanup preferences).
- Measure what users feel: speed-to-ready (wash-to-wear), noise, pass rates over thresholds, and real-world energy impact.

Notes and availability
- AI recognition and sensing rely on trained models and predefined datasets; accuracy can vary by environment and usage.
- Virus/bacteria/odor reductions were measured in controlled tests; results vary by garment, load, and setting.
- Auto Cycle Link and AI cooling features require Wi-Fi, a Samsung account, and SmartThings; availability varies by model/region.
- Energy savings claims are based on internal testing; actual reductions depend on settings, patterns, and room conditions.
- Threshold climbing depends on floor layout and requires configuration via SmartThings.
