Plutus Secures Investment from ServiceNow Ventures to Accelerate Agentic AI for Insurance
Chicago, Sept. 30, 2025 - Plutus has received an investment from ServiceNow Ventures, joining existing backer Moneta Ventures. The funding supports Plutus' push to deliver AI-native, pre-configured solutions for claims, underwriting, and servicing across P&C, L&A, and broker ecosystems.
Founded by former ServiceNow executives Chirag Jindal (CEO), Kara Anderson (COO), and Abhishek Bajpai (CTO), Plutus builds on the ServiceNow AI Platform to speed up automation and decisioning within insurance workflows.
Why this matters for insurers
- Faster time-to-value: Pre-built solutions reduce implementation effort for carriers and brokers running on, or adopting, ServiceNow.
- Operational efficiency: Agentic AI can handle routine, rules-driven tasks end-to-end, escalating to humans only when needed.
- Stronger oversight: Native auditability, routing, and controls on ServiceNow help meet compliance expectations.
- Ecosystem momentum: ServiceNow Ventures' participation signals deeper product and go-to-market alignment for financial services use cases.
What Plutus brings
- Claims: Intake, triage, AI-assisted investigations, and faster resolution paths.
- Underwriting: Submission intake, prefill, document intelligence, and broker collaboration.
- Servicing: Intelligent self-service for policyholders and agents, with clear handoffs to human teams.
"Our mission from day one has been to bring purpose-built, industry-specific AI agents to the insurance ecosystem that are built on ServiceNow," said Kara Anderson, COO and Co-founder of Plutus. "With the support of both Moneta Ventures and now ServiceNow Ventures, we're accelerating our roadmap to help carriers and brokers modernize faster and with greater confidence."
The collaboration reflects a shared focus on practical AI for core insurance operations. Built on the ServiceNow AI Platform, Plutus aims to streamline work across front, middle, and back office while keeping data and process controls in one place.
"Plutus represents the type of industry-focused, AI-first innovation we want to see thrive in the ServiceNow ecosystem," said Vidya Balakrishnan, VP and GM, Financial Services, ServiceNow. "Built on the ServiceNow AI Platform, their agentic AI solutions have the potential to dramatically simplify and modernize insurance operations. Together, Plutus and ServiceNow are helping carriers resolve policyholder issues quickly, transparently, and at scale."
