From Risk Management to AI-Driven Finance
Sophia graduated from the Technical University of Munich and began her career in risk management at a leading financial institution. Inspired by the landmark AI achievement of AlphaGo in 2016, she shifted her research towards blending AI with finance. Her next move was to an investment management firm where she helped build a reinforcement learning-based dynamic asset allocation model.
Her work played a key role in securing the first BaFin certification for the A1 Credit Evaluation System, a significant milestone in regulatory approval for AI applications in finance.
