U Power Launches Southeast Asia’s First AI-Integrated Battery-Swapping Station
Building Smarter, Greener, and More Efficient Energy Solutions Through Strategic Partnerships
U Power Limited (Nasdaq: UCAR) has officially opened Southeast Asia's first fully operational AI-powered battery-swapping station on Phuket Island, Thailand. This marks a major step in deploying intelligent energy infrastructure tailored for electric taxis and ride-hailing fleets.
The Thailand Station is part of U Power’s joint venture with SUSCO Public Company Limited and follows the May 2025 launch of Southeast Asia’s first battery-swapping compatible taxi fleet. This station operates 24/7, supporting quick battery swaps within minutes and is designed to withstand Phuket’s tropical climate, including heavy rain and high humidity.
Integrated AI Solutions for Efficient EV Energy Replenishment
The station leverages U Power’s proprietary UOTTA™ technology, integrating AI to optimize battery swaps and support multiple vehicle types—including future autonomous vehicles. It also features a zero-carbon design and incorporates U Power's Battery-bank system.
EV drivers can earn battery-tokens as incentives when swapping batteries, encouraging adoption and usage. This system is built to scale with additional stations and compatible vehicles across the region.
Completing the EV Ecosystem in Phuket
Earlier in April 2025, U Power, alongside UNEX EV and CP-MG, delivered swappable electric vehicles now operating as taxis and ride-hailing cars in Phuket. The opening of the Thailand Station completes the loop, linking vehicles, swapping stations, and operational platforms into a scalable and replicable business model.
Expanding a Global Data-Driven Energy Network
U Power follows a “Vehicle-Station-Cloud-Token” framework to create an intelligent energy infrastructure that connects mobility energy with digital energy trading. This framework supports the adoption of autonomous vehicles and prepares for a future of automated, unmanned mobility.
By deploying smart battery-swapping stations worldwide, U Power addresses critical challenges in mobility energy and works closely with governments and industry partners to build smarter, greener, and more efficient energy systems.
