Stagwell Names First Enterprise AI Solutions Executive
Stagwell appointed Michael Twedell as senior vice president of enterprise AI solutions, the company announced Thursday. The role signals the marketing network's focus on selling AI tools directly to large organizations rather than through its agency partners.
Twedell will oversee go-to-market strategy for Stagwell's software portfolio, including The Machine, an agentic marketing operating system, and Agentic Targeting System, built with AI company Palantir. His job is to integrate these tools into unified solutions that address what enterprise marketing teams actually need.
What Twedell brings
Twedell spent 22 years in consulting and technology roles. He previously served as senior vice president of growth at Bounteous, where he led digital transformation strategies for clients in hospitality, gaming, media, and healthcare.
Mark Penn, Stagwell's chairman and CEO, said the appointment reflects the company's shift toward practical AI adoption. "There's a lot of noise in the market, but what drew us to Stagwell is that its agentic solutions actually deliver on the ROI promise," Twedell said in a statement.
The market opportunity
Stagwell positions itself as a challenger to traditional marketing networks. The company operates across 43 countries and works with major brands to connect creative output with technology.
Penn said the company's AI portfolio helps enterprises reduce costs and improve campaign performance. Twedell will unify Stagwell's enterprise platforms into integrated solutions that answer a core question marketers are asking: how to make every marketing dollar work harder with AI assistance.
For marketing professionals evaluating AI tools, Stagwell's move reflects a broader industry trend: vendors are moving beyond fragmented point solutions toward integrated platforms that work across strategy, execution, and measurement.
