Tanahun Teachers Upskill in AI to Raise Classroom Impact
A training session on artificial intelligence brought together 90 teachers from schools across Bhanu Municipality, Tanahun. Run in three cohorts of 30, the program focused on upgrading teaching practice and lifting school outcomes.
Education Officer Dhurba Raj Paudel called the move timely and essential. "Integrating AI into education is both timely and essential. It equips teachers to better prepare students for future challenges while promoting independent learning and skill development."
Mayor Ananda Raj Tripathi stressed the need for continuous professional development. "Education must evolve alongside technology, and teachers should lead this transformation. Effective use of technologies like AI can make school education more practical, relevant, and competitive."
The training was facilitated by Assistant Professor Bishwa Raj Joshi of Bhaktapur Sanothimi Campus. He noted that students live in a digital environment, are increasingly tech-savvy, and expect innovative learning-making traditional methods less effective on their own.
