Telangana Expands Slot Booking and Launches AI Chatbot for Streamlined Property Registrations

Telangana Government Introduces Slot Booking and AI Chatbot for Property Registrations Starting June 2

The Telangana government is set to implement a slot booking system in all sub-registrar offices from June 2, aiming to improve property registration services. This new approach seeks to make the process more efficient, transparent, and free from corruption.

Slot Booking System Now Covers All 144 Sub-Registrar Offices

Initially tested in 47 offices, the slot booking system will expand to the remaining 97 sub-registrar offices, ensuring statewide coverage. This expansion is expected to ease the registration process and reduce wait times for citizens.

More Than 45,000 Documents Registered Since April

Since April 10, over 45,191 documents have been registered through the slot booking system, achieving a 94% satisfaction rate among users. The system has also facilitated 3,000 additional registrations compared to previous periods, highlighting its effectiveness.

Introducing “Medha”: AI-Powered WhatsApp Chatbot

To provide quick access to information, the government launched “Medha,” an AI-driven chatbot available on WhatsApp at 82476 23578. Citizens can get instant updates on:

  • Locations of sub-registrar offices
  • Available slot timings
  • Charges for different deed registrations
  • Market value of properties

Developer Registration Module to Prevent Fraudulent Registrations

A new Developer Registration Module will soon be introduced to combat fraud. This system will:

  • Highlight registered plots in red
  • Monitor pending and completed registrations
  • Stop double registrations within layouts

Additional Staff Deployed in High-Volume Areas

Recognizing increased demand in certain regions, the government has assigned more sub-registrars and support staff in nine key locations:

  • Patancheru
  • Yadagirigutta
  • Gandipet
  • Ibrahimpatnam
  • Suryapet
  • Jadcherla
  • Mahabubnagar
  • Wanaparthy
  • Gadwal

Slot Availability and Emergency Walk-ins

Each sub-registrar office will provide 48 registration slots daily, operating between 10:30 AM and 5:00 PM, excluding lunch breaks. Additionally, five emergency walk-in slots will be available from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM without the need for prior booking.

Aadhaar e-Sign Trials to Begin in Two Districts

To further digitise services, Aadhaar-based e-signature trials will start soon at sub-registrar offices in Armur (Nizamabad) and Kusumanchi (Khammam), enabling smoother and faster document authentication.

Citizen Feedback Drives Ongoing Reforms

All these improvements reflect the government’s commitment to people-centered governance. Feedback from citizens has been a key factor in shaping these reforms to ensure accountability and better service delivery.
