Teneo and Thoughtworks launch joint venture to help CEOs execute AI strategy
Teneo and Thoughtworks have formed an AI-focused joint venture to help executives move from strategy to working systems. The partnership pairs Teneo's 1,800 C-suite advisors with Thoughtworks' 10,000 engineers and proprietary agentic development platform.
The venture operates from New York with global hubs and is already taking clients. It will handle strategy, design, building, and operation of AI-powered platforms across growth, productivity, modernization, and resilience priorities.
Speed as a selling point
Mike Sutcliff, CEO of Thoughtworks, outlined the venture's execution timeline: three days to align on product concepts, three weeks to build a working prototype, three months to deploy systems to production.
"AI transformation only works when strategy, culture and execution move together," Sutcliff said.
What the venture will do
Multidisciplinary teams will redesign operating models, transform customer and employee experiences through modern product platforms, and manage geopolitical and market risk through monitoring and scenario planning.
The venture targets critical moments in client operations: acquisitions, restructurings, and large-scale transformations.
Alex Pigliucci, Teneo's global head of enterprise clients and the venture's leader, said the partnership lets advisory teams and clients "combine strategy and execution in real time."

The venture operates within Thoughtworks' ecosystem of technology partners, including AWS, Google, Microsoft, Databricks, and Nvidia.
