Teneo and Thoughtworks Launch AI-Focused Joint Venture
Teneo and Thoughtworks announced a new joint venture on March 16 designed to help companies turn AI strategy into measurable business results. The partnership combines Teneo's CEO advisory services with Thoughtworks' 10,000 engineers and AI expertise.
The venture addresses a widespread problem: companies invest heavily in AI but struggle to move from strategy to operational results. The partnership aims to close that gap by embedding engineers and AI specialists directly into strategic planning with CEOs and executive teams.
Speed and Scope
Thoughtworks CEO Mike Sutcliff said the venture operates at market pace. "In three days, we can help clients align on new product concepts. In three weeks, we can build a working prototype. In three months, we can put new systems into production."
Teneo CEO Paul Keary framed the venture as essential for CEOs navigating disruption. "CEOs must become the primary architects of their companies' AI futures," he said. "This partnership brings together advisory services with engineering capability to help clients navigate business transformation in the AI and agentic age."
Services Offered
The joint venture will provide integrated services across several areas:
- Scaling enterprise AI programs from strategy through deployment, including generative AI and advanced analytics
- Accelerating CEO priorities tied to growth, productivity, modernization and resilience
- Strengthening stakeholder trust through AI-powered insights and engagement
- Managing geopolitical and market risk through real-time monitoring and scenario planning
- Supporting financial resilience with digital tools to improve liquidity and guide restructuring
- Transforming customer and employee experiences through modern product platforms
- Redesigning operating models and leading enterprise change at scale
Alex Pigliucci, Teneo's Global Head of Enterprise Clients, will lead the joint venture. He said the partnership equips teams to combine strategy and execution in real time, particularly during acquisitions, restructurings, and large-scale transformations.
Operations and Partnerships
The venture launches immediately from New York with global hubs across the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Asia-Pacific. It will work with technology partners including Amazon Web Services, Google, NVIDIA, Microsoft, Databricks and Mechanical Orchard.
