TNL Mediagene Marks Major AI Milestones and Announces INSIDE Future Day Event for October 2025

TNL Mediagene Hits Strategic AI Milestones in 2025 and Plans INSIDE Future Day Event

TNL Mediagene, a Tokyo-based digital media and data group, has announced significant progress in several of its AI-driven initiatives this year. These include advancements in multilingual content translation, workflow automation, and AI behavior monitoring — all focused on improving operational efficiency, expanding content reach, and boosting monetization.

Advancing Multilingual Content with AI-Assisted Translation

The company’s multilingual strategy involves adapting popular media properties to new language markets while customizing content to suit local audiences. Recent examples include Roomie International and Business Insider Taiwan.

Manually translating and refreshing thousands of pages is resource-intensive. TNL Mediagene’s proprietary AI-assisted translation and editorial system automates much of this process, reducing the need for extensive human editing. Since 2024, this system has enabled the publication of over 5,000 articles, with 1,200 produced in Q2 2025 alone.

By May 2025, over half of the content on Roomie International was generated using this technology, playing a key role in the upcoming launch of Business Insider Taiwan.

Workflow Automation Enhances Productivity

The company has integrated AI tools to improve productivity across various functions such as written and verbal communication, content creation, talent management, and training. These tools have improved communication quality and lowered human capital needs by about 5% in May 2025 compared to the previous year.

Improving AI Traffic Monitoring and Monetization

TNL Mediagene has also focused on monitoring AI-driven web traffic. They’ve implemented analytics to detect bot activity in real time, which helps assess traffic quality and optimize monetization strategies. Their adoption of “pay per crawl” technology and licensing agreements supports legal content monetization in line with emerging AI ecosystem standards.

Public AI Engagement and INSIDE Future Day

The company continues to promote AI innovation publicly. It co-hosted the 2025 Generative AI Conference in May, Asia’s largest AI event, with over 3,000 total attendees (including virtual participants).

Looking ahead, TNL Mediagene will organize its INSIDE Future Day in October 2025. This annual forum, hosted by the INSIDE media property, gathers tech entrepreneurs, investors, and executives to discuss AI trends, business applications, and global perspectives. The event anticipates attracting over 1,000 attendees, emphasizing education and industry insights.

Financial Highlights and Growth in AI-Powered Advertising

In fiscal year 2024, TNL Mediagene reported consolidated revenue of $48.5 million and a gross profit of $17.7 million, with adjusted EBITDA close to breakeven. Its Technology business unit, leveraging AI and data analytics for retail media advertising, grew 34% year-over-year, generating $14.2 million and representing nearly 30% of total group revenue.

About TNL Mediagene

Formed in May 2023 through the merger of Taiwan’s The News Lens Co. and Japan’s Mediagene Inc., TNL Mediagene operates across Japanese, Chinese, and English media brands. Its coverage spans news, business, technology, science, food, sports, and lifestyle.

The company also offers AI-driven advertising services, marketing technology platforms, and e-commerce solutions for advertising agencies.
