The company's TrunkReview product cuts bulletin review time from nearly six hours to under five minutes, according to the firm. It identifies nuanced design changes that general-purpose AI systems often miss in complex construction documents. The product targets enterprise contractors and owners managing high-value projects where accuracy and speed reduce delays and risk.
Submittal Automation Delivers Measurable Time Savings
Trunk Tools has documented results from Torcon, a construction manager, which completed 64 submittal reviews over four months using the platform. The work saved nearly 47 hours while classifying items as compliant, partially compliant, or tied to outdated specifications.
The platform surfaces compliance issues early enough to prevent downstream delays. Torcon's feedback highlighted improved transparency on why items failed review and better-organized specification data, suggesting the tool addresses a genuine workflow friction point.
Submittal review remains largely manual across the industry. By automating repetitive checks, the platform frees teams to focus on coordination and higher-value decisions rather than document scanning.
